The drug Lovastatin is commonly used to lower cholesterol in overweight patients by the means of being an inhibiting drug. By inhibiting the attachment of LDL the lovastatin controls the cholesterol levels in the blood stream and will provide health benefits to the consumer. By lowering cholesterol the patient reduces the chance of heart disease and stroke by a significant percentage.

Lovastatin is a pharmaceutical drug that is only available through prescription from a practicing and qualified doctor. Used one per day the tablets are in an easy to swallow size and usually in small bi-monthly amounts.
